Call on Me
There are seasons in life when the road feels unbearably long. The hours stretch. Strength thins. Words spoken over us—false, careless, or unjust—linger longer than they should. In those moments, even prayer can feel heavy, as though our voice might not reach far enough.
Call on Me was written for that space.
This song is not about rushing faith or forcing hope. It is about presence. About being seen when no one else seems to notice. It speaks from the perspective of a God who has watched every step, counted every tear, and remembers every burden carried quietly. Nothing has escaped His sight—not the injustice, not the grief, not the nights where sleep refused to come.
Psalm 17:6–8 captures this reassurance beautifully:
“I do call on you, O God, for you will answer me;
Incline your ear to me, hear my speech.
Guard me as the pupil of your eye;
Hide me in the shadow of your wings.”
This scripture doesn’t promise a life without pressure—but it does promise nearness. Protection. Care. A listening ear when the heart still seeks, even faintly.
The message of Call on Me is simple, yet profound: you are not required to have perfect words, perfect faith, or perfect strength. You are only invited to call. To come back home. To rest under steadfast love that does not change with circumstances or emotions.
When hope feels thin, call.
When sleep won’t come, call.
When justice feels delayed and peace feels far away, call.
You are heard.
You are seen.
And you are not alone.

Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Call on Me, call on Me, call on Me
I have watched you walk these roads alone
The hours stretch long, your strength is thinning
But I remember every tear you’ve sown
Nothing you’ve borne has escaped My sight
Every wrong waits for the morning light
It’s not in vain—call on Me
You’ve been pressed down, spoken over falsely, yeah
Still I tell you—take your time with Me
Though love feels distant now, and mercy far away
I am closer than your breath—come to Me
[Pre-Chorus]
If your heart still speaks
If your soul still seeks
Come
[Chorus]
Call on Me, call on Me, call on Me—come back home
The best that I can give is steadfast love (steadfast love), oh
I will lift the weight and let your spirit roam
And if you find you’re a long way from peace
And the world has done you wrong
Just call on Me—and come back home
(Call on Me)
Come back home
(Call on Me)
Come back home
[Verse 2]
Where are you now?
Nothing feels right, yeah
But I have never turned My face away
When you’re mourning, you can call on Me
When the night won’t let you sleep
I am near you—call on Me
[Bridge]
I hear the cries you bury deep
I keep the records you can’t keep
Justice waits—do not fear
I will answer, I am here
[Final Chorus]
Call on Me, call on Me, call on Me
My commanding word, its set in stone
Though the dark feels long
I remain—unchanged, aware, and near
Call on Me, call on Me, call on Me
[Outro]
When your hope feels thin… call on Me
When your heart gives in… call on Me
I am here…
I am here… call on Me
